“Device eth0 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization”

In order to solve the above issue  goto the following path

/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules and delete the file  70-persistent-net.rules .

This File Stores the MAC Address details of the NIC card and when you reboot the server the file is created again with a new MAC Address .

 

Now reboot the Server and execute the following command

[root@server /]#Service Network Restart

Attach the USB flash drive to your personal computer, and then you will see the following screen.

Run the InitTool batch file

Remove the pen drive from the personal machine and attach it to storage

After the Initialization is complete Remove the pen drive from the Storage and attach it to personal machine again

After that you can login to the storage with the IP address assigned to the storage  https://10.20.30.40

Once logged in you can create RAID Levels , Create Volumes i.e LUNS and assign those LUNs to Hosts

Download MPIO for IBM DS 3524 Storage

You wont find a direct download for MPIO for IBM DS  3524 Storage from the IBM Site as it is kept inside the IBM Storage Manager . When you download the IBM Storage Manager from the IBM Site Extract the folder

“ibm_sw_ds3-5k_10.86.x5.43_windows_x64\WS03WS08WS12_10p86_X64″   goto  “WS03WS08WS12_10p86_X64″ folder and inside the windows folder you will find the MPIO installer file “SMIA-WinX64-01.03.1305.0050″ . Execute the file to install MPIO .
